Gadsden Flag Clear Cast in Alumilite Resin
The Gadsden Flag is iconic with the rattlesnake and words “Don’t Tread On Me” blazing below. These blanks are made by guest blank artist, Michael Barr, who does amazing work with graphics and clear casting. The Gadsden flag is a historical American flag with a yellow field depicting a rattlesnake coiled and ready to strike. Positioned below the rattlesnake are the words “DONT TREAD ON ME”. The flag is named after American general and politician Christopher Gadsden (1724–1805), who designed it in 1775 during the American Revolution. It was used by the Continental Marines as an early motto flag, along with the Moultrie flag.
Modern uses of the Gadsden flag include political movements such as libertarianism and the American Tea Party as well as American soccer supporter groups, including Sam’s Army and the American Outlaws since the late 1980s. -Source: Wikipedia
Because the tube is embedded into the casting mold, no drilling is required. The resin completely encapsulates the tube and image, so you just need to trim and turn! Finishing these blanks is a snap, just polish up the tubes like you would any standard acrylic blank.
