Alignment Marks On Pen Blanks For Assembly

– Posted in: Videos

A simple, yet effective method to mark your blanks so you can line them back up after you’ve turned them. I can’t tell you how many times I have turned a two-blank pen, started to assemble it only to realize I had no clue how they should be aligned. By just putting a tick mark on the inside of the tube, you don’t have to worry about it!

Ben marking my tubes like this for some time now. Before I assemble I attatchment blue tape to the turned barrels and transfer the tube marks to the blue tape. Makes it very easy to line up with the marks on the outside then just remove the tape

That’s a great way to do it too. It does add a little bit of difficulty seeing inside the tube, the removable tape would be a breeze!
